You can also say times with hours and minutes
in several different ways:
as numbers only
11:10 = eleven ten
7:25 = seven twenty-five
4:40 = four forty
6:54 = six fifty-fourNote: The minutes 1 - 9 are read as
oh one, oh two, oh three, etc.:1:05 = one oh five;
8:08 = eight oh eight, etc.

Remember that 12:00 during the day is usually
called noon and that 12:00 during the night is
usually called midnight.
Note:
We can say "___ minutes before (etc.) / after
noon" or "___ minutes before (etc.) / after
midnight," but we do not say *"noon / midnight
o'clock" or *"noon / midnight ten / fifteen, etc.
