Conversational ESL Openings in Budapest for a Late January Start
The Central European Teaching Program has openings for about 20 teachers--in elementary schools, high schools and 1 university ESL/linguistic position. Though a BA/BS and TEFL certification are the requirements for most, we have 1 Budapest international school requiring elementary cerification for a middle school placement. Another Budapest middle school seeks an ESL teacher with a master's in biology. We also have an excellent Protestant high school in the beautiful city of Kecskemet needing a teacher for both ESL and Spanish.
Many of our remaining openings are in supportive rural communities, where our teachers are treated with great kindness. Hungary is the size of Indiana, and with its expansive, inexpensive public transportation system, our teachers easily zip to Budapest and other fabulous locales for a very few dollars.
The Central European Teaching Program is a woman-owned organization gladly accepting men into our teaching family. Established in 1990, we are the oldest and most significant provider of ESL teachers to Hungarian schools. We accept teachers of nearly all ages as long as health and hearing are good. All placements require a bachelor’s degree as well as TEFL certification. If interested, please send a brief letter of introduction to [email protected], and include your teaching resume. We can then set up a time to talk. All applicants MUST be citizens of the US, Canada, the UK or the EU, NO exceptions.
We do require a program fee to support our many services, as unlike many countries, though Hungary is diligent in providing our teachers their essential documentation, neither the government nor schools cover any of our many expenses. The program fee for your intitial year is $2500 for Budapest schools as well as high schools and univeristites. For all others it is $1900. I assure you these are NOT placement fees. We are a full-service organization offering:
