Job Description:
You'll need to:
. prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
. mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
. research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials
. prepare pupils for external examinations
. manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour
. undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of homeroom teacher, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
. communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole-school training events
. participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as elective programmes, outings, social activities, school concerts and sporting events
. undergo regular observations and participate in regular in-service training as part of continuing professional development (CPD).
. lesson preparation and collaborative planning;
. assessment of / for students’ learning;
. class decoration
. contribute your expertise in a committee
. supervising students during night study
. participate in external accreditation exercise;
. participate in weekend student recruitment activities (At least one Saturday or Sunday a month for not more than 8 weekends a year.);
. participate in the schools assembly programs
. other tasks assigned by the school during official work hours
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree
Candidates with the following experience and trainings will add advantage:
. More than two years of relevant experience
. Postgraduate Degree in Education or Related Teaching Subject
. A teaching license recognized by home country’s education ministry
Candidates with the following experience and trainings will add advantage:
. Kindergarten transdisciplinary approach to inquiry
. English language teaching related certifications from credible awarding bodies
. IB / IPC / Cambridge related workshops for teachers
. Homeroom teacher experience
. Understanding various language assessment tools e.g. MAPS / Raz-kids / Cambridge YLE
