Holidays: Christmas, etc.

This is good for Christmastime. Write the names of different holiday
related items on 3 x 5 index cards, one per card. Underline the name of the item and underneath write two related terms. Students have to describe the underlined word without using the two additional terms on the card. The rest of the class must guess what the underlined word is.

For example, one card will have Santa Claus written on it and underlined. Under the name Santa Claus, write "red suit" and "chimney." The student must describe Santa Claus without using the terms "red suit" and "chimney." Hope these ideas can be useful!
