This is a great song to start the day with, and also clearly demonstrates the difference between the use of the present simple and the present continuous tenses. (It's also good for showing the use of 'will' for promises.)

Check the lyrics: she habitually 'says a little prayer' throughout her daily routine, (which is all present simple) but she also demonstrates the use of the present continuous with some nice 'while -ing' clauses in the first clause. Almost too good to be true I hope you'll agree. I hate boring lessons where I speak loads, Aretha has a much better voice than me...
